Description Dehydroroemerine is a cyclic peptide that inhibits the enzyme Cox-2, which is involved in the production of inflammatory prostaglandins. This drug has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and has been used as a food additive in Japan. Dehydroroemerine has also been reported to have anti-inflammatory properties, which are demonstrated by its ability to inhibit tyrosinase activity. The effective dose of this drug is not yet known; however, it can be administered orally at a concentration of 3 mg/kg body weight. This drug may be used for the treatment of pain models.
