Description	Glucoerysodine is a pentacyclic triterpene with anticancer activity. It has been shown to have a cytotoxic effect on fibroblast cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the synthesis of acetylcholinesterase. Glucoerysodine is also able to suppress the growth of animal tumors and induce apoptosis in cancer cells. The molecular docking analysis of glucoerysodine with the human estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) indicates that it binds to ERα and blocks its transcriptional activity. This drug also contains isoflavones, which are plant-derived compounds that have been shown to inhibit tumor cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo, as well as inhibit DNA methylation.
