Description	(+/-)-Higenamine HCl is a natural product that has been shown to induce apoptotic cell death in fetal bovine cells. This compound has been demonstrated to have a specific treatment effect on human vasodilation and blood flow. It also has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on reactive oxygen species (ROS) and can be used as an experimental model for the study of ROS-mediated apoptotic cell death. (+/-)-Higenamine HCl can be found in traditional Chinese herbs, such as huangqi, and has been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species in vitro.
