Description	Lupanine perchlorate is a triticum aestivum extract that inhibits the activity of oxidases, the enzymes responsible for the production of lupanine, which is a precursor to phytoalexin. Lupanine perchlorate has been shown to inhibit the biosynthesis of lupanine by inhibiting root formation in gramine plants. Lupanine perchlorate also inhibits the development of seedlings when applied topically to their roots. This inhibition may be due to inhibition of oxidases or other unknown mechanisms.
