Description 3-(1-Methylpyrrol-2-yl)pyridine is a chemical substance that has been shown to inhibit the growth of lung epithelial cells in vitro. The mechanism of this inhibition is not well understood. 3-(1-Methylpyrrol-2-yl)pyridine may be carcinogenic, but the evidence for this is inconclusive. This substance has been shown to be an inhibitor of organic solvent metabolism and bronchial contractions, as well as potent inducers of chromatographic peaks. 3-(1-Methylpyrrol-2-yl)pyridine may also have antiinflammatory properties due to its ability to reduce the production of prostaglandins.
