Description	Corydaline is a p-hydroxybenzoic acid derivative that has shown inhibitory properties against COX-1 and COX-2. Corydaline inhibits the activity of cyclooxygenase enzymes, which are responsible for the conversion of arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2. It has been shown to have a matrix effect on the benzalkonium chloride test, as it lowers the pH of the solution and thus alters the results of the test. The inhibition of COX-1 and COX-2 activity by corydaline may be due to its ability to bind to receptors in a concentration-dependent manner.
