Description Toddalin is a natural compound that is extracted from the leaves of Toddalia asiatica. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of certain types of cancer cells, including squamous carcinoma, through inhibition of protein synthesis. Toddalin is a basic protein with a molecular weight of around 4,000 Da, which can be found in both plants and animals. The physiological levels are unknown. This extract has been shown to have biological properties such as the ability to inhibit kinase activity and block adenosine receptors A3 (AR). It also inhibits cell factor-mediated activation of transcriptional factors such as NF-κB, AP-1, or p38 MAPK. Further research on this compound is needed to determine its effects on human health and ecological systems.
